"Bo comes haring in at top speed, in a sort of ridiculous fashion, as if she’s come to save them a moment too late. She holds an enormous, ridiculous weapon of some kind."

"They put me on pills. Little purple and green pills. Really pretty pills.
“They don’t make you happy,” they said. “They just give you a little… lift. They perk you up a bit. Give you a kick-start.”
I wasn’t aware my engine had stopped.
I took them. A rainbow of green and purple. In my tummy, helping my brain. My silly brain that has a blanket over it. It felt romantic. I replaced the romanticism of drinking whisky and smoking cigarettes with the romantic tragedy of popping pills. Pills that make you more human. Pills that make you a human. Pills that make you the human they want you to be."
